HIS 21600 American History Since 1865 Advanced Survey

(GE-AmGovHis) This course is designed for first-year history majors. This survey of American history begins its examination with the end of the Civil War and goes through the Cold War. It will focus on not only the historical record, but also the evolving historiography of the period. The primary emphases will be on the political, economic, and social foundations of American development from the start of Reconstruction to the recent past. Not open to students with credit in HIS 10600.
