ACCT 31040 Accounting Information Systems

This course explores the role information managers play in the development and use of event-driven information systems. Topics discussed will include the use of modeling to determine value-added activities within an organization, the identification of risks and corresponding controls developed by an organization, and the design of an integrated relational database to support the information processes of the organization. Lab fee may be required.

a C or better in ACCT 21011 and MIS 24000. Also required is the successful completion of the Writing Proficiency Assessment (WPA) or ENGL 21000.
