CHI 10100 Elementary Mandarin I

(GE-ForLang) This course is an introduction to the history and the fundamentals of the unique pictographic language and its basic principles, with emphasis on practical daily life communication, Chinese character writing, and development of all four language skills: listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing.
