CMS 12000 Introduction to Christian Theology

This course is an overview of the foundational teachings of Christianity. Attention will be given to theology proper (doctrine of God), Christology, (including His person and work), pneumatology (doctrine of the Holy Spirit), anthropology (doctrine of humanity), ecclesiology (doctrine of the church), soteriology (doctrine of salvation), doctrine of revelation, and eschatology (doctrine of the end times). Some attention will be given to the historical development of doctrine, significant theological controversies, and theological distinctives between the three major Christian traditions - Roman Catholics, Orthodox and Protestants.
