FRE 41000 Seventeenth-Century French Theatre

(GE-CrsClt) This course will examine important works of seventeenth century French theatre: tragedies by Corneille and Racine and comedies by Molière. The examination of these works will be set in the social and historical contexts in which they were written. Taught in French.
