RTAIL 35530 Retail Buying

This is an intermediate course in which students will analyze the buying function and the buyer's role in various retail organizations. Particular emphasis will be given to the buyer's responsibilities regarding consumer research, merchandising and management, domestic and foreign resources, and purchase negotiation.

Prerequisite

a grade of C or better in RTAIL 15510. Also required is the successful completion of the Writing Proficiency Assessment (WPA) or ENGL 21000.
