8.3 Remediation
If a student struggles in a course for any reason, a remediation plan will occur. A benefit of TBL is that there are regular assessments of student learning via frequent quizzes (a neurocognitive science approach proven to aid in long-term retention of information), so that student progress can be monitored weekly, as opposed to learning mid-semester that a student is struggling via a mid-term examination.
