HA&P 460 Advanced Anatomy & Physiology
Prerequisites: HA&P1-456 and HA&P2-458, equivalent, or consent of instructor. This advanced course builds upon foundational Anatomy and Physiology knowledge and requires a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of human structure and function. Content will extend beyond introductory concepts to include detailed anatomical study of multiple systems, including skeletal architecture, joint structure, muscle origins, insertions, actions, and innervations, vascular pathways, neural organization, and tissue‑level composition. Emphasis will be placed on how these structures relate to one another across systems and how their organization supports physiological function. By the conclusion of the course, students will use advanced anatomical knowledge to predict how structure influences function and to anticipate where disruption, inefficiency, or vulnerability may occur under altered mechanical or physiological conditions.
