The program consists of three required courses completed across the academic year:

BH-259: Behavioral Health Foundation 1

Summer

An introductory course that orients students to the behavioral health system, the paraprofessional role, and expectations for professional conduct and learning.

BH-260: Behavioral Health Foundation 2

Fall

A semester-length course emphasizing applied learning, communication skills, ethics, boundaries, and foundational knowledge of mental health and substance use conditions.

BH-261: Behavioral Health Internship

Spring

4

A supervised fieldwork experience paired with reflective seminars and completion of a capstone project demonstrating readiness for entry-level practice.

Courses are delivered using a hybrid format that may include in-person sessions, online learning, simulations, group activities, and supervised clinical experiences.
