EDU 290CB CB Professionalism and Ethical Engagement with Children, Families and the Community
This course provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate their competency in various areas of healthy safe environments, as they apply to professionalism and ethical engagement with children and families in the early childhood environment. Specifically, students will maintain, create, design and assess healthy and safe learning early childhood environments. In addition, students will plan, implement and assess learning experiences using knowledge of each child's healthy development, abilities and interests, as well as identify the factors that contribute to positive interactions with the environment. Lastly, students will align their professional practice with applicable standards, guidelines, and ethical considerations for confidentiality and impartiality, state and the expectations of relevant professional organizations. NOTE: this course is only open to students in the ECE Competency-Based program. Pre-requisite(s): EDU 200CB and EDU 210CB, or Gateways Level 2 ECE Credential. Co-requisite(s): None. 5 quarter hours
