Emergency Medical Services Associate in Science (EMS-AS)

Completes the academic progress of a graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician Program and a Paramedic Certificate with 16 hours of General Education courses.

Minimum requirements for eligibility to the program include high school diploma or GED, satisfactory scores in reading and math on the TABE, documentation of unencumbered current Florida EMT Certification, and a current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

Students in the EMS-AS have generally completed 1) all general education courses and the EMT –ATD program, or 2) have completed the EMT-ATD program and are enrolled in the Paramedic Program and completing the general education requirements.
