PHT 1801L PTA Clinic I
Observation and participation in a physical therapy outpatient practice setting under supervision. The focus is on developing professionalism. Students may utilize previously learned positioning, draping, transfers, note writing, gait training, vital sign measurements, goniometry, gross strength testing, orthopedic therapeutic exercises, stretching and modalities. Four to forty hours per week for a total of 40 hours (part-time clinical experience completed in varying time frames to meet both the students and the clinical instructor's schedule).
