Teacher Certification in Science - Biology Secondary Level

Students desiring to certify to teach Biology in a public school at the secondary level, will complete the Science secondary composite, requiring a B.S. degree in Biology.

This option is available for certification only.

Academic Core

includes Bachelor of Science Academic Core plus EDUC 2311; certain core requirements must be fulfilled by specific courses; see applicable degree plan (with Chemistry minor or with Physical Science minor) for details

PHYS 2411, PHYS 2412 and GEOL 1401 and GEOL 1402 to satisfy the laboratory sciences block in the core curriculum.
