ENGR 331 Fluid Mechanics

Fluid statics and dynamics of fluid motion; conservation of mass, momentum, and energy in laminar and turbulent flow using control volume formulation. Introduction to Navier Stokes equations for fluid flow; inviscid flow; dimensional analysis and similitude; boundary layer flow; lift and drag forces; viscous flow in conduits; open channel flow; flow measurements; introduction to compressible flow.
