OCC 615 Human Movement in Occupation

Knowledge of gross anatomy and the physiological principles of human movement regarding its impact on occupational performance. It integrates a theoretical and practical approach to studying movement and activity analysis. The emphasis will be on the origin, nature and course of musculoskeletal and neurological disorders using interventions to correlate muscle actions to support occupational participation and engagement. Students will complete assessments of normal and abnormal alignment and movement and analyze their importance for life tasks.  Course delivery methods for teaching and learning include face-to-face and online synchronous instruction.

Admission to the Master of Occupational Therapy Program and successful completion and transfer of all required courses including a bachelor’s degree.
