PA 540 Holistic Medicine & Patient Care II

Demonstrates a system based comprehensive and integrative approach to the study of clinical medicine. Etiology, presentation and pathophysiology of disease, physical assessment, diagnosis, pharmacology and pharmacotherapy, diagnostic methods, treatment plan, and health promotion and disease prevention are discussed and applied.  Foundational information is designed to develop an understanding of evolving biomedical sciences throughout the life span in emergent, acute, chronic, and rehabilitative encounters and the clinical application to history and physical examination. Educational delivery is based on organ systems covered in the course. Course delivery methods for teaching and learning include lectures and group activities, episodic video technology, and digital resources.
