SLP 532 Dysphagia in Infants & Children with Lab

Study of the nature, assessment and treatment of swallowing/ feeding disorders in infant and children. Emphasis will include anatomy and physiology of normal and abnormal swallow disorders affecting swallow function (orofacial, myology, oral, pharyngeal, laryngeal, esophageal, gastrointestinal and related functions), assessment and treatment. Course content will include the care, management and training of patients with feeding and swallowing issues. The lab will integrate the practical application of theoretical knowledge.
