CARD-121 Cardiovascular Assessment Skills Lab

The goal of this course is to prepare students with the assessment and documentation skills needed to evaluate the cardiovascular patient. Students will also become familiar with basic abbreviations used in assessing patients, and the guidelines for patient safety and privacy according to the HIPAA guidelines. Students will have the opportunity to practice their skills to perform a basic history and physical examination of their patients. The class is divided into three components, lecture, lab skills, and clinical.
