PA-737 Essentials of Otolaryngology & Ophthalmology

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Semester 1 classes. This course provides a comprehensive look at the   diagnosis and management of common diseases and conditions of the eyes, ears, nose, mouth and throat,  beginning with normal anatomy and physiology followed by pathophysiology, genetic manifestations, and  epidemiology. Students will explore risk factors, signs, symptoms, and diagnostic studies, the foundation for the diagnosis and treatment, including pharmacotherapeutics, of common conditions of these systems. Concepts of prevention, patient education, chronic disease management, and follow-up will be covered.
