Marketing Minor
By minoring in Marketing, students will acquire the knowledge and skill sets necessary to influence target audiences across channels, such as online, print, face-to-face, audio, and video. Marketing is a rich field, and by minoring in Marketing, undergraduates will be better prepared for careers that support all types of organizations, including nonprofits, startups, Fortune 500 companies, advertising agencies, and more. Students will study event marketing, digital marketing, market research, social media campaigns, small business marketing, marketing for nonprofits, and more. Upon completion of the Marketing minor, students will graduate with a portfolio of polished marketing pieces and a wealth of new experiences, demonstrating career preparedness and industry know-how.
This minor is offered fully online or in blended format.
Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
At the completion of the Marketing minor, students will be able to:
- Identify target markets and audiences for customized marketing campaigns.
- Differentiate for-profit, non-profit, B2B, and B2C marketing approaches.
- Design and execute marketing campaigns across a variety of platforms.
- Generate and explain campaign analytics to measure service or product movement.
- Recognize the most contemporary trends, including social media, and digital advertising.
Minor Details:
- Requires 30 QH for completion
- 20 QH must be completed at NLU
- Requires a minimum grade of "C" for each course in the minor
