Theology, B.A.
In addition to THE 105 (or THE 101 for transfer students only) and THE 205, theology majors take 28 hours of upper-division courses. Of these 28 hours, 21 must be taken as 400-level offerings, with at least 3 of these hours coming from each of the six sub-disciplines of theology: biblical studies, historical theology, systematic theology, theological ethics, liturgical and sacramental theology, and spirituality. Of the remaining 7 hours, one hour is fulfilled by taking the capstone (THE 499), and the other 6 may be fulfilled either by taking courses at the 300-level or the 400-level, or by taking one 300 or 400-level course and a THEP offering. (Courses taken at a 300-level may not be retaken at a 400-level, or vice versa.)
