ART 116 Survey of American Art

This course covers the development of American art forms from colonial times to the present. Emphasis is placed on architecture, painting, sculpture, graphics, and the decorative arts. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate understanding of the history of the American creative experience. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement and the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement general education core requirement in humanities/fine arts.
