Career Preparation

Career Development staff at Berea College offer career counseling appointments to support students in career decision making and exploring career options in all majors. They provide personalized assistance to maximize action planning for an internship, gap-year experience, full-time employment or graduate/professional school.

They utilize career assessments to support students as they identify "best fit" career/major options relating to their interesets and strengths. Staff provide up-to-date resources on various occupations and help students explore about the nature of the work, educational requirements, earning potential and future job outlook.

Individual appointments, along with weekly workshops, are available to help students with career/job search and graduate school preparation. Thursday workshop topics may include: Resume/CV and Cover Letter Writing, Interviewing Skills, Dining Etiquette, and Networking and Social Media.
