ART 211 Printmaking II

Prerequisites: ART 134, ART 135, ART 136 and ART 137 with an average 2.0 or higher; or permission of instructor

This course expands on the knowledge and skills developed in all 4 Introductory Studio Courses with an emphasis on printmaking. Using prompts designed by the instructor, this course will focus on the development of studio research questions and their application to the materials, processes, and skills of printmaking. Art vocabulary, compositional development, and the application of the elements and principles of art will be incorporated. Practice and experimentation will be a critical part of the course. Students will write about and present both their work and the work of others.

Six in-class studio hours per week. Course Fee: $15, plus the cost of materials. 1 Course Credit
