PHY 340 Biophysics

Prerequisite: Completion of PHY 128 or PHY 222

This course introduces students to the application of physics to the study of
biological systems, including anatomy, physiology, and molecular biology. Topics
to be explored include locomotion, hearing, vision, blood flow, neural conduction,
and protein structure. The course also examines the physics of biological and
medical research instruments such as microscopes, ultrasound, computed
tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and PET imaging.
