TVRD-255 Television and Radio Portfolio Assessment

This course is designed to prepare advanced radio/television students for job entry and transfer institutions by creating a portfolio including a body of audiovisual work, resume, and professional biography. Students will work with an instructor throughout the semester to build this portfolio of accumulated work from classes and personal projects. The student's working portfolio will be periodically reviewed with strengths, defi ciencies, and omissions noted and revisions required as necessary. Students will also learn about the process of presenting themselves in job and school interviews and applications. At the end of the class, students will have an exit portfolio review where they receive a fi nal assessment of their portfolio submissions, interview skills, and transfer applications. This course is to be taken in the student's last semester or second-to-last semester before graduation or transfer.
