CRIM 200 Law Enforcement and the Community

A study of the relationship between police and the community with recommendations for ways of working together to reduce crime. Emphasis is placed on policing in a culturally diverse society.

4. Explain the critical importance of communication with a diverse population.

6. Analyze crime prevention strategies in contemporary community policing.
7. Describe gangs and analyze the role of police in preventing violence and building safer neighborhoods.
