AVMP 280 Audio Production II

This course builds on the theory and practices of audio production covered in Audio Production I. Emphasis will be on multi-track studio recording and mixing of a variety of sources, advanced digital recording, and editing. Projects, discussions, and critiques will further develop critical listening skills and artistic expression in the audio production environment.

  1. Incorporate knowledge and proficient use of microphones into studio production.
  2. Incorporate knowledge of studio audio equipment signal flow into production.
  3. Demonstrate proficiency with multi-track digital recording, editing, and mixing.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of digital sampling, signal processing, and effects in creative workflow.
  5. Mix and edit sound using advanced Pro Tools features.
