Deferral of Admission
This status is given to those who were offered admission and submitted an enrollment deposit but need to delay starting the program for academic or other reasons. Deferral requests should be sent by email to the Office of Admission, which will in turn send the request to the applicable program for approval. All students requesting a deferral are required to take the following steps:
- Email admissions@mghihp.edu and request a deferral. Please indicate your reason for requesting a deferral within the email, along with your name, date of start term and program of study.
- Please note that an enrollment deposit must be submitted before a deferral request can be processed and/or granted.
- All approved deferrals are valid until the next available start term, up to one year.
- Once a deferral request is approved, the student will receive an email with instructions and requirements. Students who do not follow instructions and/or fail to notify the Office of Admission within the allotted time limit will forfeit their admission offer and deposit, and will be required to go through the application process again.
- International students will be required to provide updated financial information in order to receive a valid I-20 immigration form.
- Please keep in mind that any and all students admitted off the waitlist are not eligible to request a deferral of admission.
