NP 874 Adult Gero Acute Care Pract II

Co-requisites: NP 834.This is the second of three acute care clinical courses that prepares the student for advanced practice as Acute Care Nurse Practitioners. Consistent with the theory course, students will apply the theories in diagnosis and treatment of acute care conditions in adult /older adults. In collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals, students will provide case management to a select group of acutely ill adult/older adult patients. Particular emphasis will be placed on the development of sensitive strategies in the care of acutely ill patients.
