NS 510 Nursing Process Practice & Skills
Prerequisites: Previously earned baccalaureate degree; anatomy, physiology, chemistry, nutrition, microbiology, statistics. The course introduces students to the professional role in nursing. Emphasis is on scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and the clinical judgment process in a variety of acute clinical settings. Students utilize assessments of individuals across the life cycle in beginning problem identification, outcome evaluation, intervention and evaluation. Specific psychomotor skills are integrated in the clinical setting. Clinical practice is provided.
