G4. Employee Assistance Program
The Partners Employee Assistance Program (EAP) assists Institute students in dealing with personal problems that may pose a threat to their health or well-being. Confidential services include consultation, assessment, short-term counseling, and referrals. Initial consultation is free of charge and may be initiated by calling 1-866-724-4EAP (4327) The EAP maintains a large network of carefully screened resources for all types of problems. The nearest EAP is located at MGH at Charles River Plaza, 175 Cambridge Street, 3rd Floor, Suite 320 but multiple locations are available; call to find an office nearest you. IHP students can also access Partners EAP (Employee Assistance Program) in Building 39, Room 146, in the Student and Alumni Center, in the Charlestown Navy Yard. The EAP name has been changed to the Student Assistance Program (SAP) to reflect the added focus on IHP student needs. Students can still access EAP services at all nine Partners EAP locations across Partners HealthCare, and/or you can still speak with a counselor by phone. Two licensed counselors will provide IHP students with assessments, referrals, and short-term counseling (up to six visits). They can also connect you to more information about Partners EAP’s many offerings – legal and financial resources, webinars, and online tools to support self-care and healthy life choices.
