Clinical Attendance
Attendance is required for all clinical, skills, simulation or lab learning experiences. The student must notify the clinical instructor of an absence within the hour prior to the learning experience. Failure to do so will constitute an unexcused absence.
Absences that are unexcused will result in a clinical warning.
Students who miss clinical, skills, simulation or lab learning experiences will be required to make this up to meet course and clinical objectives.
Two or more unexcused absences within the same semester from clinical practice will result in clinical failure.
CLINICAL MAKE-UP is defined is:
- A full clinical day made up on an alternate clinical day if allowed by the clinical agency.
- A simulation that meets course and clinical objectives.
Clinical make-up dates and times will be determined by faculty
