Standing Committees of the Senate may bring forward motions to amend the bylaws at any time so long as a proposal for amendment has been filed with the Clerk in accordance with provisions of Article 2, Section 2.4(c) of these Bylaws to be placed on the agenda for discussion and action at the next Senate meeting.
Faculty members not representing Standing Committees of the Senate may bring forward motions to amend the bylaws by:
Submitting a signed petition which includes the (1) text of the proposed amendment, (2) a rationale for the proposed amendment, and (3) signatures of at least fifteen percent (15%) of the members of the Faculty.
The proposal for amendment must be filed with the Clerk in accordance with provisions of Article 2, Section 2.4(c) of these Bylaws to be placed on the agenda for discussion at a Senate meeting. Senate action on the proposed amendment shall take place at said meeting.
