Frequently, issues that impact a student’s performance and participation in academic and laboratory courses will also impact fieldwork experiences. Students are encouraged to consult with their academic advisors for guidance and assistance with any matters that may impact their participation in the fieldwork education components of the degree program.
In addition to the academic advisor, the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC) and Clinical Education Placement & Systems Associate (CEPSA) and designated fieldwork course faculty play roles in advising all students in matters related to the planning and implementation of the fieldwork education component of the curriculum.

Any matters that may impact a student’s ability to participate fully in a fieldwork education experience should be brought to the attention of the AFWC in advance of the start of the fieldwork experience. If the fieldwork experience is in progress, the student should notify the AFWC and CEPSA immediately of any change or potential change in status.
