OT 640 Health Conditions: Epidemiology and Pathophysiology

Prerequisites: OT-601. Corequisite: OT-602. Pass/Fail, Audit not available. This course provides an overview of the clinical conditions that are commonly seen in the practice of occupational therapy across the lifespan. Students will learn disease epidemiology, signs, symptoms, pathophysiology, psychopathology, and disease course / prognosis. The functional deficits that result from each condition and the role of health promotion and prevention will be discussed.
