HA 635N Organizational Behavior and Management Theory

This course examines the structure of healthcare organizations and the impact of individual and group behavior in these environments to better understand how organizations can be effectively managed. Topics covered include motivation, rewarding behavior, stress, conflict and resolution, power and politics, leadership, decision-making, communication and organizational change and development. In addition, managerial functions and theory, as it relates to planning, organizing, implementation, evaluation, and staffing will be covered.
