Health and Safety Requirements

Students must meet all health and safety requirements of the clinical education facility and of the Institute, prior to beginning any clinical education experience. Students must remain in compliance with the IHP Immunization and Certification Requirements at all times and submit any required documentation to the Compliance Department and the Clinical Education departments when requested. Failure to do so may result in a delay in clinical placement.

Students who are out of compliance cannot attend clinical until requirements have been met. Any absence from clinical that results from non-compliance will result in an unexcused clinical absence. Reference the Clinical Attendance Policy for more information.

Students are advised to also maintain their own copies of all immunization records, fit-testing, certifications, and documentation of physical exams and to make their available if asked by their preceptors and clinical agencies.
