Falsification of Records

Falsification of records and official documents is prohibited by the University. This includes altering academic or business records, forging signatures of authorization or falsifying information on any other documents, including but not limited to transcripts, letters of permission, petitions and drop-add forms.

Forgery of any type, such as the alteration or misuse of University business or academic records or papers, is forbidden. Also expressly forbidden is the forgery of the signature of any employee of the University.

Any University faculty or staff member who believes that this policy has been violated by a currently enrolled student shall promptly report the issue by filing an Incident Report at nl.edu/letusknow.

Any student found to have falsified records is subject to disciplinary action through the Student Conduct Process.
