This course focuses on general principles of curriculum development and assessment (including the state assessment system), with emphasis on planning, writing, and implementing effective lessons and units of study in alignment with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). The course addresses data analysis and the design of formative and summative assessment. Prerequisites: successful completion of EDUC 3315/3320, meeting the standards in the Department Interview, and satisfying the Basic Skills requirement.
