Services and Resources
Study and Learning Spaces: The main and upper floors are collaborative, interactive areas of the building with a variety of seating options. The lower floor is the Quiet Floor for focused study. There are nineteen group study rooms that can be reserved online; nine are equipped with monitors and computer connections.
Technology: The main floor lab has 50 Windows computers, along with printers and copier/scanners. The Digital Lab on the upper floor has 12 Mac computers, scanners, a large format printer, a 3D printer, and audio/video equipment for checkout.
Collections: The Library provides access to a wealth of information, and the database tools for finding it from on or off campus. Collections include books, eBooks, CDs, DVDs, journals, eJournals, streaming videos, articles, and more. Resources at other libraries can be requested using UP Library Search with timely delivery to the Library and/or email accounts.
Course Reserves: The course reserves service provides online access to readings and articles for courses. Many class textbooks are also available to borrow from the library.
Digital Lab: The Library’s self-service Digital Lab offers students the space, equipment, software, and expert assistance to produce audio, video, photography, and design research projects. Users from novice to expert are welcome.
Research Support: The Research Desk on the main floor is the place to get help with finding and using information for assignments and projects. Librarians are available for individual consultations and meet with classes to provide library instruction. Online subject and course guides are also available.
