Master of Arts in Liberal Studies

Dartmouth College offers a graduate program leading to the degree of Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (M.A.L.S.). This program places special emphasis on a multidisciplinary approach to advanced study in the liberal arts. The program offers an advanced liberal studies education through both directed and independent study. The M.A.L.S. program is described briefly in the Graduate Study section of this catalog. The program offers courses in General Liberal Studies, Cultural Studies, Globalization Studies and Creative Writing.  M.A.L.S. courses are open only to graduate students. See the M.A.L.S.
