LING 8.01 The Structure of Hawaiian Language in Social Context
This course is an introduction to the Hawaiian language and its social context. Students learn phonology, morphology, and syntax of basic Hawaiian, the social history and contemporary settings of the Hawaiian language, and Indigenous perspectives on language revitalization. This course is taught by a faculty member at the University of Hawaii-Hilo.
