4.2.2 Clinical/Academic Review Meeting
If the review reveals significant concerns, the student will be notified by email of the review and a report will be prepared. Once completed, the committee will meet with the student. Student attendance at the review meeting is mandatory.
Students are encouraged to actively participate in the Clinical/Academic Review meeting. After a summary of faculty concerns, the student is given an opportunity to provide their perspective on the issues brought forward by the faculty. Following a period of open discussion, the Academic Advisor will verbally summarize the issues presented, including relevant information provided by the student.
A written summary of the discussion will be prepared and contain recommendations, action plans, and appropriate follow-up procedures. The student is required to review and acknowledge the summary within one week of the meeting. A copy will be placed in the student’s electronic file in the department.
