5.5 Request for Extension
Students wishing to extent the 3-year time-limit for the program may request an extension by contacting their academic advisor and providing a written petition. The petition will be evaluated by the AuD faculty. Students should develop a proposed course of study with their advisor who will then follow the petition procedure as outlined in the
AuD Academic Standards and Policies. A majority vote by the faculty is required for extension approval. The student’s advisor will provide written communication to the student regarding their request within one week of the vote and a copy of this written communication will be placed in the student’s academic file.
