AP1. Informed Consent
Students in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program are informed of potential risks involved with participation in classroom and laboratory activities. Students are expected to remain cognizant of potential risks to their health and safety as they progress through the program and to take responsibility for preventing harm to themselves and others. Within course activites, students may participate in activities where they perform tasks that a health care professional would complete or have such tasks performed on them as if they were a patient.
If students feel they have conditions that may increase risks, they must notify course faculty in advance so that preventive or adaptive measures can be taken. Students may need to seek accommodations via the Accessibility Services Office (see AP4).
