Reading Endorsement (Florida)

The reading sequence of courses at NLU meets the competencies for the Reading Endorsement as required by the Florida Department of Education. 

Program Requirements

Pathway Two (Reading Recovery Center at NLU)

Program Details: 

  • Requires 9 SH for completion  
  • A grade of “B” or better in all coursework is required with an overall GPA of 3.0
  • Undergraduate or transfer courses are not acceptable
  • Teacher is employed in the role of Reading Recovery Teacher while enrolled these courses. This is monitored by the Reading Recovery Center faculty at NLU as they verify that the courses have been completed before they issue the credential.
