Early Childhood Special Education Approval
Students may earn an Early Childhood Special Education approval on a Professional Educator License already endorsed for self-contained general education (age 0 to grade 3) or LBS I (preK to age 21) by having the following four courses required by the Illinois State Board of Education. The Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement is valid for PreK special education only. Any PreK teacher teaching in a special education setting must hold this credential.
In addition to the National Louis University Graduate Admission Requirements, applicants must:
- Hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
Program Details:
- Requires 12 SH for completion
- A grade of “C” or better in all coursework is required
