Breadth Area Requirement
Students choose at least one course in each of the eight breadth areas. Breadth areas include creative and preforming arts, historical and cultural perspectives, social and behavioral sciences, mathematical and logical systems, natural sciences, language and communication, health and wellness, and theological and philosophical perspectives. Although one course may inhabit more than one breadth area, it cannot count more than once to fulfill this requirement. First-year students should not enroll in 300- or 400-level courses. Acceptance of transfer equivalencies for these areas is determined by the student's advisor in conjunction with the University Registrar.
