HUM 2020 Introduction to Humanities

An integrated approach to the study of the humanities which examines philosophy, literature and the arts in terms of their relationships, rather than as separate activities. The emphasis throughout the course will be on the ways in which a shared cultural outlook gives meaning to the human experience. This course examines the cultural achievements from the Ancient World to the Contemporary Era. There will be lectures, correlated readings and illustrations or representative works from each period studied.
